Each scarf starts out on a piece of stretched habotai silk. Intuitively I layer the silk with soy wax (used as a resist) and silk dyes to create a one of kind textile. The textile is then photographed and printed on ultra-sheer chiffon fabric using ecologically-safe transfer sublimation inks that provide vibrant color and strong wash durability. Lightweight and translucent.
