Wood pieces start out as drawings or sketches that are scanned and turned into digital files. Using flat pieces of birch wood and a deep etch setting on a laser cutter the sketches are turned into a wood relief. Once the laser etching is complete I clean off the piece and paint into the wood relief.

This piece includes many laser cut circles of the same size overlayed onto the painted wood relief.
